Haven was born Radha Dastoor in New Delhi, India in the year 1952 where she was the daughter of a highly-respected Indian diplomat. As a result, she would become educated in some of the top universities in the United States. During the mid-1970's, she claimed that she suffered from a divine vision whereupon she began publishing books about the New Humanity under the name of Haven. During this time, she traveled the world where she began lecturing on spiritual subjects and founded a number of charitable organizations as well as attract a group of devoted followers.
In the early 1990's, she began shifting her attention from charity work in order to address the "Mutant problem" which she believed she had a solution.
